The sound and video streaming installation “Entangled Pixel” is based on two video installations in different places and countries which are entangled over the internet. One part of the work will be in Detroit in the US and the other part will be in Windsor Canada just separated by the Detroit River that forms a natural frontier between both counties.

Our connected steadly changing internet society that permanebtly creates feedback and loops is the methafor of that work.

At each monitor a live camera is attached that films and runs in a feedback loop magnifier the pixel structure of the display. Those pixels appear roughened and frayed due to their exposed macro structure and they are pulsing irregularly in all variety of colors. The same footage of these pixels is streamed over the net, too and on the other hand in the other part of the installation the stream is received and will be mixed with an analog VGA video mixer together with the local footage. And in the other part vice versa. So together it forms a kind of doubled feedback were both part forms the hole art work.
